Grapes on the vine

2008 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, our only blend, is hand crafted from Pinot Noir grapes from the Palmer Creek, Blakeslee, Holmes Gap, Kalita, Maresh, Deux Vert, and Nicholas vineyards. It offers a balance and value attained by blending select grapes. In prior years it has garnered a reputation for its exceptional value, being called a “Recession Buster” in last year’s PinotFile. We think this is our best Willamette Valley yet.

Dad: Our biggest & most refined blend to date. Loganberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Good finish.

Fille: This wine reminds me of Brad Pitt- at first, you assume it is simply beautiful, but it keeps exhibiting surprising complexity over time. It has a dark garnet color and a nose of cherry and black fruit. The palate of intense fruit and chocolate is carried by structure and a little tobacco. It pairs beautifully with poultry, salmon, and lentils or hearty beans.
