Where We Make Our Wines

Et Fille Wines are made at August Cellars, just outside of Newberg, Oregon. August Cellars is an "alternating proprietorship" where seven different wineries, including Et Fille, make their wine. Facilities such as this allow small wineries access to equipment and space normally available only to much larger wineries.

Tasting of our wines is by appointment only. Tastings take place in our barrel room at August Cellars in Newberg, not at our Parrett Mountain office. For a private tasting, please call 503.853.5836 for an appointment. The tasting room at August Cellars does not carry our wines.

The winery is on three levels. This allows for gravity to be used as wine is transferred from different containers during the winemaking process. Examples are when the wine goes from the fermentation vat to a settling tank at the end of fermentation, and from the settling tank into barrels. Gravity flow is gentler on the wine than a pump.

Once the grapes are brought to the winery, they are gently crushed (the stems are removed and the skins are gently split open) at the top level in the back.
